“Public transport in Kinshasa: Students complain about the service of Trans Academia”

Public transport is an essential aspect of the daily life of many students. However, in some regions such as Kinshasa, subscribers of the transport company, ‘Trans Academia’, complain about the poor quality of service.

A recent article reports that students on the Mbudi-Ifasic, Mikondo-Ifasic, Matete-Isp and Pascal-Isp lines have expressed their dissatisfaction with the lack of punctuality of the buses, the complexity of the controllers and the recurring delays which prevent them from arriving. on time for lessons.

According to an IFASIC finalist student, living in the commune of Ndjili, delays have become commonplace: “It’s almost every day that I arrive late at the Institute, because of the lack of punctuality of the buses. I often arrive in time, at district 1, to wait for the bus which often arrives an hour later”.

Another student, residing in Matete, also expressed his frustration: “Personally, I am starting to regret a lot. If Trans Academia does not improve its services, I will be forced to withdraw”.

It is important to note that Trans Academia is a public company responsible for transporting students from universities and public higher institutes. However, the students ask company officials to increase the number of buses available and improve the efficiency of their operations to avoid frequent delays and allow subscribers to travel in good conditions.

It is obvious that the increase in the number of students benefiting from these services requires adaptation in order to meet the growing demand. The students therefore hope that their concerns will be taken into account and that measures will be taken to improve the quality of Trans Academia’s service.

In conclusion, it is essential to be able to count on efficient public transport for students. It is therefore important that the responsible authorities consider students’ complaints and take the necessary measures to improve the quality of Trans Academia’s service. This will make it easier for students to get around and not be late to class anymore
