Introduction:

In the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), this phenomenon is unfortunately very present and requires effective care for the victims. It is in this context that the Coordination in charge of youth, the fight against GBV and human trafficking, in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), launched a training workshop on the management of cases of human trafficking. This initiative aims to build the capacities of front-line actors for better care of victims.

The context of human trafficking in the DRC:
According to a joint study conducted by the ILO and the IOM, more than 50 million people are victims of human trafficking worldwide. The DRC is unfortunately not spared by this phenomenon, with cases of forced labour, sexual exploitation, organ trafficking and other forms of exploitation. Faced with this worrying situation, it is essential to strengthen the capacities of the actors involved in the care of victims.

The importance of training:
The Human Trafficking Case Management Training Workshop aims to equip front-line actors with the necessary skills to deal with this scourge. For three days, participants will be able to acquire the knowledge, principles and techniques essential for effective care of victims. They will also be trained in human trafficking case management so that they can pass on these lessons to their colleagues and networks.

The objectives of the training:
The main objective of this training is to improve the skills of frontline actors in the management of human trafficking cases. They will thus be able to identify the victims, support them in their procedures and direct them to the appropriate services.
