Faith Word In Action (FWA), a grassroots organization funded by OXFAM, FEMNET and the European Union, recently met in Kinshasa for its annual workshop. The purpose of this event was to take stock of the activities carried out and to identify the progress made towards the key objectives of each member of FWA. The workshop also made it possible to define the orientations of the work plan for the year 2023.
During this meeting, Anifa Kalombola, Executive Secretary of Faith Word In Action, stressed the importance of this annual review. She insisted on the need to evaluate the achievements and constraints, to assess the relevance of the results obtained and to analyze the major developments as well as the new challenges. The objective is to revitalize the work plan for the coming year.
It is important to note that Faith Word In Action has been working in the Democratic Republic of Congo for four years. In collaboration with CONAFED, they are among the 14 Congolese members of FEMNET selected for the implementation of the STITCH project in seven African countries.
The workshop was an opportunity for each partner to present their activities and achievements outside the STITCH project, as well as their specific contribution within the STITCH project in collaboration with OXFAM and FEMNET. This sharing makes it possible to strengthen mutual knowledge, to highlight the particularities of each partner and to promote positive collaboration.
Faith Word In Action and its partners thus continue to work for the development and empowerment of young women and girls, so that they can play a leadership role within their communities. Thanks to this collective work and the annual review, FWA is committed to improving its actions and achieving even more significant results in the years to come
