Title: ADF attacks continue to sow terror in Beni
Introduction :
On the night of July 7 to 8, 2023, the village of Musandava, located in the Buliki group in Beni territory (North Kivu), was the scene of a bloody incursion. The Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) attacked civilians in their fields, killing at least 6 people and injuring several. Faced with this persistent threat, the Congolese armed forces (FARDC) and the Ugandan people’s defense forces (UPDF) have intensified their operations to neutralize the attackers and protect the population.

The FARDC and UPDF coalition reacted quickly to the attack, pursuing the attackers until they were entrenched in Mwalika. In an ambush on the night of July 8 to 9, 3 ADF fighters were neutralized, including Lubangakane, one of the group’s commanders. This operation also made it possible to recover weapons and food products stolen from the fields of the inhabitants.
