Bumba, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, is currently facing a growing wave of insecurity. Deputy Prime Minister of Public Service, Jean-Pierre Lihau, visited Mongala province on July 7, 2023 to express his concern and call on the population to cooperate with the security forces to combat this problem.
During his speech to the population, Jean-Pierre Lihau firmly denounced the insecurity raging in the town of Bumba. He stressed that the government was determined to eradicate insecurity and hold accountable the perpetrators of these harmful acts.
The Deputy Prime Minister also called on the people for unity and active participation in the upcoming elections. He stressed the importance of choosing leaders capable of developing the region, the province and the country as a whole.
However, the issue of security and stability in the DRC goes beyond the responsibility of the government. It is essential that the population is actively involved by reporting suspicious persons and working closely with the security forces to guarantee the safety of all.
This call for cooperation and unity is crucial for Bumba’s future. The resolution of insecurity will create an environment conducive to economic growth, the improvement of the living conditions of the population and the overall development of the region.
It is therefore imperative that all actors, including politicians, security forces and the population, join forces to combat insecurity and build a more secure and prosperous future for Bumba and the Democratic Republic of the Congo as a whole
