Gabon wins the Fatshi Cup u20, the DRC second
Unsurprisingly, Gabon emerged as the dominant team in the Fatshi Cup u20 tournament. In the final, they faced Central African Republic and emerged victorious with a final score of two goals to nil. The Panthers showed a great performance, scoring twice through Jalex Mebale and Omar.
In another regional derby, the DRC claimed second place in the tournament by beating neighboring Congolese. Guy Bukasa’s colts opened the scoring through Nkombe in the 30th minute, but defender ITOU equalized for the Democratic Republic of Congo. The match ended 2-1 in favor of the DRC, with Mardochée Kalengalenga scoring the decisive goal in the 85th minute.
