“Faith Word In action: Assessment and planning for the year 2023 in the empowerment of women and girls in the DRC”

Faith Word In action, an organization supported by partners such as Oxfam, FEMNET and the European Union, recently gathered in Kinshasa for a major workshop. This workshop aimed to review the achievements and challenges of the past year, in order to reassess the work plan for the year 2023.

Anifa Kalombola, Executive Secretary of Faith Word In action, underlined the importance of this workshop in the evaluation and planning process. For two days, the participants analyzed the results obtained, examined the difficulties encountered and discussed how to make positive progress.

It should be noted that Faith Word In action has been active in the DRC for almost four years. She works in collaboration with partners such as CONAFED to implement development and empowerment projects for young women and girls. The STITCH project, supported by Oxfam and FEMNET, is one of the organization’s main lines of action.

The workshop allowed each partner to share their successes and activities carried out outside the STITCH project, thus giving everyone the opportunity to get to know each other better and to help each other. The discussions also allowed to highlight the new challenges facing the organization and to develop an action plan for the coming year.

Faith Word In action thus continues to play an essential role in the development and empowerment of women and girls in the DRC. Through its commitment and strong partnerships, the organization continues to move forward towards its goals and make a real difference in the communities it touches.

In conclusion, the Faith Word In action workshop in Kinshasa made it possible to take stock of the achievements and challenges of the past year, while planning future actions for the year 2023
