“UNAFCO is revolutionizing Congolese arbitration for a fair and quality game”

There is no match without a referee, the latter are honorable people who give a taste for the game. This was underlined by Guylain Ingila, international referee, during the official release of the new sports structure for referees called “Union of Arbitrators of Congo” (UNAFCO).

UNAFCO, which already has more than 15 referees, including one woman, aims to create mutual assistance between referees and to ensure mutual safety. The structure, which was first launched in Kinshasa, is gradually being deployed in all the outskirts of the country.

This initiative is essential to strengthen the professionalism of Congolese referees and improve the quality of refereeing in sports competitions. By helping and supporting each other, referees will be better able to cope with the challenges and difficult situations they often face on the playing field.

Guylain Ingila, as provincial president of UNAFCO, plays a key role in promoting arbitration in the Democratic Republic of Congo. His experience as an international referee allows him to transmit to young referees the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their field.

It is also important to underline that UNAFCO is committed to promoting parity in refereeing, encouraging the participation of women and ensuring that they benefit from the same opportunities and rights as their male counterparts.

Refereeing is an essential aspect of sport. Referees are responsible for enforcing the rules of the game and ensuring the fairness and integrity of competitions. Their work is often difficult and demanding, but they are essential to guarantee the smooth running of sporting events.

In conclusion, UNAFCO is a commendable initiative that aims to strengthen the capacity and safety of referees in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Thanks to this structure, the referees will have the opportunity to support each other, exchange experiences and develop their skills. This will help improve the quality of refereeing and promote fair play in Congolese sport.
