Center Missionnaire Philadelphia (CMP) has just announced a program of fasting and prayer for the nation of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. From June 28 to 30, 2023, the faithful are invited to gather to implore God’s grace and favor.
Under the inspirational theme of “For Zion’s Sake I Shall Not Be Silent” based on Isaiah 62:1, CMP holder Pastor Ken Luamba calls on all who care about their country to unite their hearts and voices in this process of fasting and prayer.
This program comes at the approach of the celebrations of June 30, independence day of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Philadelphia Missionary Center wishes to dedicate these three days to entrust the nation into the hands of the Lord and to pray for unity and peace throughout the Congolese territory.
The prayer meetings will be held on June 28 and 29 at the church temple, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. And to close these days of fasting and prayer, a large gathering is planned for June 30 at the esplanade of the People’s Palace, a symbolic place where the nation’s major decisions are taken.
The call issued by the Philadelphia Missionary Center is open to all, regardless of religious affiliation. The goal is to come together as a nation to pray, plead and implore God for the Democratic Republic of Congo and to express appreciation and gratitude for this wonderful country.
The CMP is a local church that is part of the 37th Community of the Assemblies of God in Congo (CADC). Founded in 2008 by Apostle Roland Dalo, the church has been led since October 2016 by Pastor Ken Luamba, titular pastor and coordinator of the various CMP extensions around the world.
Weekly prayer meetings are held every Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the premises of La Puisette school, located in the commune of Gombe in Kinshasa.
The main mission of the CMP is to prepare Christians to meet the bridegroom by preaching a message centered on consecration, in order to lead the people of God to spiritual growth and maturity, and to develop a life totally dedicated in the cause of the Lord.
This program of fasting and prayer is an opportunity for the faithful to unite in faith and create a surge of spiritual fervor for the nation. Turning to God in humility and dependence, they hope to obtain divine grace and blessing for the Democratic Republic of Congo
