“Emmanuel Macron launches the Summit for a new global financial pact to fight against poverty and climate change”

The Summit for a New Global Financial Pact was launched by Emmanuel Macron, the French President, to mobilize private investment in favor of emerging countries. In his inaugural speech, he underlined the importance of putting cash and money from the private sectors at the service of the fight against poverty and the preservation of biodiversity. The event, which takes place in Paris for two days, welcomes leaders from around the world, and wants to show solidarity with the fight against climate change as well as other challenges. Topics range from debt relief to financing the fight against climate change. Developing countries bring certain subjects under the Bridgetown initiative. Leaders also pushed for multilateral development banks, such as the World Bank, to take more risk with their capital to stimulate lending. African heads of state, the Prime Minister of the DRC, the Chinese Prime Minister and the President of Brazil are among the few dozen leaders present.
