The article on the visit of the Secretary General of Udps/Tshisekedi and Vice-President of the Socialist International, Augustin Kabuya, to Paris and Brussels summarizes the political activities carried out by the latter during his stay.
Augustin Kabuya traveled along the Paris-Brussels axis from May 19 to 26, 2023 with a delegation of Udps members. He was warmly welcomed at Zaventem airport by activists and executives of his party as well as those of other Udps allies.
During his stay, Augustin Kabuya had an intense political activity, talking with several delegations and individuals. He notably evoked the situation of the major problems which would weaken the Across the Channel federation with the federal committee of the delegation of Great Britain and invited the members of the federal committee of Belgium to the sincerity, the unity and the taking in consideration of Udps fighters of all kinds.
Augustin Kabuya also met members of the federations of the Netherlands and Germany who traveled to the European capital to meet the day-to-day manager of the ruling party, as well as Benedicta Lasi, secretary general of the Socialist International.
In closing, Augustin Kabuya met with the Udps community in Belgium and spoke about the accomplishment of his tasks. Kabuya’s trip to Paris and Brussels was therefore marked by intense political activity and fruitful encounters.
This visit to Europe illustrates the importance of Congolese diplomacy in promoting the country’s interests and strengthening ties with international partners. It also shows the will of the Udps to open up to the international and to engage actively in world politics.
