“HJ Foundation: an act of solidarity with the victims of the floods in Kalehe”

Here is an article about the actions of the HJ Foundation for the benefit of flood victims in Kalehe. This foundation was created in 2016 by Harish Jagtani, a successful Indian businessman in the DRC, to bring charity, solidarity and compassion to the Congolese community.

During the natural disaster that struck the localities of Bushushu and Nyamukubi, the HJ Foundation, in collaboration with HJ hospitals, mobilized a mobile clinic equipped with medical equipment from Kinshasa. For a period of two weeks, more than 2,500 victims were assisted and treated free of charge. The clinic had a capacity of 20 beds, which were donated to the local population to relieve local health centers.

Through this action, the HJ Foundation demonstrated its solidarity with the Congolese populations affected by natural disasters, by providing free medical aid. The medical teams sacrificed themselves in precarious situations to treat the sick and injured and once again demonstrated their bravery.

The HJ Foundation, for its part, reaffirmed its primary mission, which is to promote charity, solidarity, compassion and responsibility in order to improve the quality of life of communities and individuals.

This kind of humanitarian action is crucial in the DRC, a country often affected by natural disasters, inter-ethnic conflicts, political repression, and growing insecurity. It is hoped that other companies and foundations will follow in the footsteps of the HJ Foundation to help alleviate the suffering of Congolese populations in need.
