“The worrying security situation in Kwamouth is creating a source of stress for the inhabitants of Kinshasa”

The deterioration of the security situation in Kwamouth, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, is a stress factor for the inhabitants of the city of Kinshasa. The conflict between the Teke and Yaka communities continues to claim victims. According to the minutes of the 99th meeting of the Council of Ministers, the repetitive incursions of the Mobondo assailants on the national road number 1, in the commune of Maluku, north-east of Kinshasa, were the basis of the insecure. The government is trying to find solutions, and Christophe Mboso, President of the National Assembly, announced the establishment of a commission to settle the conflict between Teke and Yaka. The latter will be made up of several categories of people including national deputies and senators, members of the central government and many others.
