Death of Samy Mikobi: Tribute to an icon of Congolese showbiz

The world of Congolese showbiz is in mourning following the death of Samy Mikobi, nicknamed “the Strategist”, Thursday, May 11, leaving in turmoil all those who knew him. Samy Mikobi was a well-known personality in the community, especially in the commune of Bandalungwa where he grew up. A journalist who knows him very well, Jean-Pierre Eale Ikabe had immortalized him in one of his columns signed on September 1, 2019.

Samy Mikobi, his real name, had a natural interpersonal skills that allowed him to evolve both in influential circles and in more modest sections of society. He was notable for his ability to make useful connections, which helped cement his reputation in the world of Congolese showbiz.
