Title: Water cut in Kinshasa: Regideso announces a disruption in distribution

Regideso announced this Saturday, May 13 a disruption in the distribution of water in certain municipalities and districts of the capital Kinshasa. According to a press release from the company, this disturbance is due to a leak that occurred on the DN 700 pipe inside the Ngaliema water treatment plant.

The municipalities and neighborhoods concerned are: Gombe, Lingwala, Kasa-Vubu, Bandalungwa, Ngiri-Ngiri, Kintambo, Mont-Fleury, Jamaica, Macampagne and Joli-Parc. The water cut will be observed throughout the day of Saturday May 13, 2023.

This disturbance risks causing inconvenience to the inhabitants of these municipalities and districts, who will have to find alternatives to obtain drinking water for their daily consumption.

Indeed, water is a precious commodity in Africa and the lack of drinking water is a major issue for public health. Regideso therefore invited the inhabitants of the municipalities concerned to make the necessary arrangements during this period until the situation is resolved.

Despite this disruption, Regideso remains mobilized to ensure the continuous distribution of drinking water in Kinshasa, despite the technical difficulties encountered from time to time.
