## The political reversal of Congolese figures: opportunism or ethics?
Rex Kazadi and Franck Diongo’s recent membership in the Congo River Alliance illustrates discomfort in the Congolese political class, where opportunism seems to prevail over fundamental values. By betraying their previous commitments, these leaders mark a deep disillusionment within a population which, at 70 %, expresses its distrust of political institutions. This reversal, which brings them closer to controversial forces like the RDF/M23, raises crucial questions about national identity and the risk of climbing armed violence. Faced with this ethical crisis, the urgency of a new political discourse emerges, calling for authentic and responsible leaders to build a united and sustainable future. The Congolese people are thus invited to reaffirm their aspirations for governance truly at the service of their dignity.
