Involving the Kinshasa police commissioner and a minister of social affairs, this case reveals the corrupt practices that persist in the country. The Mobutu family’s lawyer denounced the spoliation and presented evidence of the legitimacy of the ownership of the concession by Patient Musaka. The spoliation of public and private assets harms the country’s economy and highlights the need for a stronger fight against corruption and judicial reform in the DRC.
