The enthusiasm of candidates for submitting files to the CENI of Lubumbashi: A race against time for political parties.

Title: The enthusiasm of candidates for submitting files to the CENI of Lubumbashi

Introduction :
The office for receiving and processing applications (BRTC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) in Lubumbashi, in the province of Haut-Katanga, was the scene of particular enthusiasm on Saturday 22 July. Indeed, as the end of the seven-day extension granted by the CENI approached, many political representatives rushed to submit their candidacy files. This situation reflects the challenges that political parties and groups face in gathering all the necessary documents and meeting the deadlines.

Difficulties in compiling the files:
According to the testimonies of certain political representatives present on the spot, the extension of seven days was a godsend to gather the documents necessary for the constitution of the candidature files. Nevertheless, it was not without difficulties. Juvénal Kitungwa, from the political group Action alternatives desacteurs pour l’amour du Congo (AAC), points out that the complexity of the forms to be completed requires a certain technicality and that this has been a real challenge for the political parties. He also insists on the need to give enough time to political parties to prepare their files in the best conditions.

The end of the filing of files:
The deadline for submitting applications for the election of national deputies is set for Sunday July 23 at 4:30 p.m. local time. This concerns the 168 reception and application processing offices distributed throughout the national territory. This deadline marks an important step in the ongoing electoral process and puts an end to an intense period for political parties and groups that had to mobilize their resources to meet the demands of the CENI.

Conclusion :
The enthusiasm observed at the office for receiving and processing CENI applications in Lubumbashi illustrates the efforts made by the political parties to meet the deadlines imposed by the electoral institution. The complexity of the forms and the need to collect a large number of supporting documents represent significant challenges for applicants. However, despite these challenges, they are determined to actively participate in the electoral process and exercise their right to stand for election. The filing of the files thus marks a crucial stage in the preparation of the election of national deputies, which will contribute to shaping the political future of the country
