Training of thirty women in the development of business plans to strengthen their economic autonomy in Kinshasa

### The economic empowerment of women: promising training through strategic advice

On April 9, the Élysée Mundende Azidama remedies Foundation (FEMAR) organized a training session on the development of business plans, specifically intended for women entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs. This event illustrates Femar’s commitment to the economic empowerment of women, a crucial issue in the construction of inclusive and dynamic companies.

#### A Bienvenue Educational Initiative

In the current context where gender inequalities persist, the training provided by Femar represents an important step to enhance the female entrepreneurial potential. By offering participants concrete tools to structure their projects, the Foundation not only helps to improve their skills, but also to strengthen their self -confidence.

Adolphe Mafuata, in charge of Femar programs, was able to transmit fundamental ideas on the importance of a business plan. He stressed that this tool is not limited to a simple administrative document, but that it constitutes a real strategic lever for planning and search for funding. The emphasis on the GRP model (gains, risks, problems) demonstrates a desire to adapt the lessons to the realities of the entrepreneurs evolving in contexts with limited resources. This model, by highlighting the specific challenges encountered by small entrepreneurs, seems relevant and can promote a more pragmatic approach to business.

### The objectives of the training

The session brought together around thirty participants who had the opportunity to work on practical exercises aimed at formulating their own projects. This participatory approach is essential, because it allows women to appropriate the knowledge acquired and apply them to their realities.

Another interesting point lies in the connection between this training and the Copa Transform program, which focuses on supporting projects with high social or economic impact. This link testifies to a wider strategy aimed at creating an ecosystem conducive to female entrepreneurship, offering tangible ways to financing and mentoring.

#### Challenges to consider

Despite these advances, it is advisable to question the challenges that remain. Although FEMAR has taken the initiative to equip these women with useful knowledge, what measures are put in place to ensure follow -up following this training? Support in time and the creation of solid networks can be just as important as initial training to guarantee entrepreneurial success.

In addition, how can awareness of this type affect a larger and diverse audience? In many contexts, many women can come up against cultural or structural obstacles that limit their access to these opportunities. An inclusive approach, which encompasses the historical, social and economic dimensions that influence female entrepreneurship, could strengthen the efficiency of projects like those led by Femar.

### towards sustainable empowerment

Femar’s initiative is to be welcomed, because it is part of a global movement towards the empowerment of women, an issue which, according to the World Bank data, could generate significant economic benefits in many developing countries. By supporting women in their entrepreneurial approaches, we do not only promote their economic independence, but we also contribute to the creation of more resilient communities.

However, to perpetuate these efforts, a continuous commitment of all stakeholders, including governments, businesses and international organizations, is essential. How to establish sustainable partnerships that will guarantee long -term support for women entrepreneurs? What new support models can be considered to maintain the momentum generated by initiatives like that of Femar?

In short, the training organized by FEMAR during this April 9 event represents not only an advance for present women, but it also raises essential questions on economic empowerment and the effectiveness of programs which aim to support this noble cause. It is in the growth of these initiatives, coupled with attentive listening to the needs of women and to an appropriate response from social, economic and political actors, that the keys to build a more equitable and lasting future.
