The modernization of National Road No. 2: a catalyst for development in the DRC

President Félix Tshisekedi recently marked a milestone in infrastructure development in the Democratic Republic of Congo by launching the development and asphalting of National Road No. 2, more specifically in its section linking Mbuji-Mayi to Kabinda-Mbanga. This initiative, which is part of the Connectivity and Transport Support Project (PACT), is of paramount importance for the region and its inhabitants.

Indeed, the improvement of this 280 km road will have a significant impact on the connectivity and socio-economic development of the province of Lomami and neighboring regions. The governor of the province of Lomami, Iron-Van Kalombo, highlighted the multiple benefits that the modernization of this road will bring to the community.
