Tanganyika’s urgent challenges: Sophie Kakudji’s poignant appeal

In a poignant speech delivered to the media during her New Year greetings, she highlighted the various problems faced by the inhabitants of this region.

Sophie Kakudji highlighted in particular the devastating floods in Kabalo, the road cutting in Manono and the critical lack of agricultural access roads in Kongolo and Nyunzu. These difficulties have a direct impact on the daily lives of the inhabitants, contributing to an increase in the prices of basic necessities and precarious living conditions.

In a moving appeal to the Head of State, Sophie Kakudji pleaded for special attention for the province of Tanganyika, stressing the urgency of concrete solutions to the many problems encountered. She spoke of teachers struggling to reach schools due to the distances they have to travel to get their salaries, resulting in loss of time and teaching for students.

The MP also highlighted the lack of internet in some areas, rising prices in Kongolo and Nyunzu due to the lack of road infrastructure, the problem of juvenile delinquency in Moba and roadblocks in Manono. In this bleak picture, she also mentioned the deterioration of infrastructure in Kalemie, stressing the urgent need for action to improve the situation.
