Recently, the commune of Bulongo, in the territory of Beni in North Kivu, was the scene of an operation by the security forces that led to the arrest of five individuals suspected of being involved in criminal activities. Two women and three men were arrested and presented to the communal authorities, thus putting an end to their series of night raids and other acts of banditry that were spreading terror among the local population.
During the presentation of the alleged criminals, two individuals stood out as notorious figures in the region, due to their involvement in numerous crimes. The security forces seized various military effects and equipment used in their misdeeds, thus demonstrating the dangerous nature of their activities.
This operation would not have been possible without the effective coordination of the security services, under the leadership of Colonel BELENGA LIKUYA JEAN CLAUDE, commander of the 214th battalion of the armed forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Their action was welcomed by the mayor of Bulongo, JEAN PAUL Kahindo, who expressed his satisfaction with the arrest of these individuals who are harmful to the community.
It is important to note that this arrest follows a series of operations recently carried out in the region to combat crime and ensure the safety of the inhabitants of Bulongo. Local authorities remain vigilant and determined to combat any form of delinquency that could disturb the tranquility of the commune.
In conclusion, this action by the security forces demonstrates the commitment of the authorities to ensure the safety of citizens and maintain public order in the region. Thanks to their intervention, the population of Bulongo can now live more peacefully, knowing that concrete measures are being taken to guarantee their safety and well-being.
