**Fatshimetrie: Promotion of Congolese agriculture – A distribution of agricultural equipment to support cooperatives**
As part of its commitment to agricultural development in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security recently launched an initiative to support the country’s agricultural cooperatives. This action, led by Minister of State Grégoire MUTSHAIL MUTOMB, took on its full meaning during the official handover of agricultural equipment, inputs and seeds to the governor of the Haut-Uelé province, Mike David Mokeni, in Kinshasa.
The objective of this approach is clear: to boost the Congolese agricultural sector by providing concrete support to cooperatives, farmers and large farmers in Bas-Uelé. Indeed, these actors play a crucial role in the country’s food security and contribute to the local economy.
During the equipment handover ceremony, the Minister of State stressed the importance of properly managing the distribution of these resources, in accordance with established procedures. He also stressed the government’s commitment to supporting stakeholders in the agricultural sector in their development efforts. This initiative is part of the Head of State’s vision to enhance the country’s agricultural potential and ensure sustainable food production.
The Governor of Haut-Uelé Province pledged to ensure fair distribution of the equipment to the various agricultural cooperatives in the region. He expressed his gratitude to the central government for its support to local farmers and promised to ensure that these resources are used optimally to maximize agricultural yields.
This approach to supporting agricultural cooperatives is not limited to Haut-Uelé Province. It will extend to the entire national territory, demonstrating the government’s desire to promote sustainable agriculture and guarantee food security for the Congolese population.
In conclusion, this initiative to distribute agricultural equipment is a significant step towards promoting Congolese agriculture and strengthening agricultural cooperatives. It shows the government’s commitment to supporting the agricultural sector and creating development opportunities for rural stakeholders. Let’s hope that these efforts will contribute to improving farmers’ living conditions and the country’s food production.
