The candidacy of the Democratic Republic of Congo for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the period 2026-2027 is attracting particular attention in international diplomatic circles. Kinshasa’s firm determination to occupy this strategic position to actively contribute to the promotion of global peace and security is clearly displayed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner.

During her public speech in Kinshasa, the Minister of State highlighted the rich diplomatic heritage of the DRC within the United Nations Security Council.
