The Democratic Republic of Congo has recently witnessed a massive deployment of electoral materials for the legislative and provincial elections. In the electoral district of Masi-Manimba, more precisely in Kwilu, the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) took the lead by delivering everything needed to ensure the smooth running of the vote.
The various voting centers, such as the Madayi and Tadi primary schools, were supplied with electoral lists, ballot boxes, polling booths, vests and other tools necessary for the democratic exercise. The center heads meticulously checked each document to ensure total transparency during the electoral process.
All of these preparations demonstrate the commitment and seriousness with which the authorities are organizing these elections. Everything is in place to welcome voters in the best conditions and ensure a peaceful and orderly vote.
The administrator of the Masi-Manimba territory, Emery Kanguma, called for everyone’s responsibility. He called on candidates to demonstrate patriotism and respect the verdict of the polls. Similarly, he urged the population not to be influenced by ill-intentioned individuals and to exercise their civic duty with respect and peace.
In addition, the CENI reminded all actors involved in the electoral process to respect the rules in force. Candidates and their supporters are asked not to distribute propaganda on voting day, and not to display distinctive elements of political parties at polling stations. This measure aims to guarantee the neutrality and impartiality of the electoral process.
Thus, this mobilization and these recommendations underline the importance of an organized and peaceful democratic exercise. The legislative and provincial elections in the Democratic Republic of Congo promise to be crucial for the future of the country, and it is essential that everyone plays their part in respecting the established rules, in order to guarantee legitimate results that represent the will of the people.
