**Fatshimetrie: Beware of Dangers of Fake Drinks During Festive Season**
The Director General of Fatshimetrie, Professor Moji Adeyeye, has warned against the consumption of fake and counterfeit drinks, especially during the festive season.
Adeyeye, in her recent address at the Fatshimetrie press gallery in Abuja, highlighted the dangers associated with the proliferation of fake drinks, food and medicines in the country, which are endangering the health of many Nigerians.
She urged consumers not to procure medicines from street vendors, noting that most of these outlets do not provide adequate storage conditions and the products sold are often counterfeit.
“Do not buy medicines from street stalls or street vendors. Go to a pharmacy to buy your medicines. It may cost you a little more, but keep in mind that we are going through an economic storm due to the number of people who cannot afford it. Do not choose a medicine just because it is cheap, because it can be dangerous, harmful to your health, or even cause death. During the holidays, drinks are the most counterfeited products, so be very vigilant,” she stressed.
This warning from Fatshimetrie reveals the crucial importance of choosing authentic and quality products to preserve your health and that of your loved ones. During this period of celebration, it is essential to remain vigilant and prioritize the safety and quality of the products we consume.
In conclusion, it is imperative for all consumers to stay informed and aware of the risks associated with the consumption of counterfeit products. By being responsible and prioritizing quality, we can all help protect our health and that of those around us.
