The urgent need for a humanitarian response for Gaza

The Cairo Ministerial Conference highlighted the urgent need for a humanitarian response to alleviate the suffering of the people of Gaza. Abdel-Ati also called on the Israeli occupation to facilitate access to humanitarian aid and to withdraw from strategic crossing points. He urged participating countries and organizations to mobilize their support for the Palestinian enclave, while advocating for the recognition of the State of Palestine and its full admission to the United Nations.

Egypt reaffirmed its opposition to any forced displacement of Palestinians, considering this practice as a red line. The Minister stressed the importance of stopping hostilities and called for political will on both sides to achieve a lasting ceasefire.
