**A digital breakthrough for the health of the Congolese**
The modernization of health services in the Democratic Republic of Congo is taking a new turn thanks to the initiative of the National Agency for Clinical Engineering and Digital Health (ANICNS). Indeed, digital equipment was recently provided to several health establishments, marking a significant step forward in the field of digital health.
In the cities of Mbuji Mayi and Kalemie, computers, tablets and routers were provided to local hospitals. This digital arsenal aims to support the digital transformation of health services, in particular by offering the possibility of creating digitalized workstations.
The Director General of ANICNS, Jean Thierry Kalombo, underlines the importance of this equipment in improving the quality of medical data, particularly in the context of Universal Health Coverage. Thanks to these tools, the management of care, in particular free maternity and newborn care, will be optimized.
The beneficiaries of this equipment are located in regions such as Muya, Banzola, Kabeya Kamwanga, and Mutowa. The health centers in these localities will thus be able to benefit from a better digital infrastructure to guarantee quality care to their population.
