Fatshimetrie recently reported a disturbing incident that occurred in Manfalut Center, Assiut Governorate. Sixteen people, most of them children aged between two and twelve, were bitten by a rabid dog on Saturday night. After being informed of the situation by the hospital police station, Assiut Security Director Wael Nassar took measures to ensure that the victims received proper first aid. Ahmed Sayed Moussa, Undersecretary of the Health Directorate for Preventive Affairs in Assiut, confirmed that all the injured were treated and vaccinated against rabies, and eight of them were transferred to al-Quseyya Hospital to receive serum.
