President Tshisekedi’s commitments to the development of the Grande Orientale region in the DRC

President Félix Tshisekedi is committed to solving security and infrastructure challenges in the Grande Orientale region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is a country with multiple challenges, facing major challenges such as insecurity and the lack of basic infrastructure. Indeed, the Grande Orientale region, located in the east of the country, is no exception to these issues. It is in this context that the President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi, committed to providing adequate solutions during his recent discussions with key stakeholders in this region.

During discussions with the caucuses of national deputies and senators, provincial governors and customary chiefs of the Grande Orientale region, the President expressed his willingness to get personally involved in finding rapid answers to security and infrastructure concerns. This approach demonstrates his commitment to the development and well-being of the populations of this region.

The Deputy Quaestor of the National Assembly, Grace Neema, stressed the importance of security and infrastructure in the Grande Orientale region, noting that President Tshisekedi has promised concrete solutions to these challenges. For his part, the Governor of Tshopo, Paulin Lendongolia, raised the issue of security, emphasizing the worrying situation in Ituri province, which is under siege, as well as the need to accelerate the development of the region.

The traditional chiefs of the Grande Orientale region also expressed their gratitude to the President for his appointment of nationals from this region to the National Government. They praised the actions already undertaken for the development of the region, such as the repair of essential infrastructure.

President Tshisekedi also marked his passage through tangible actions, such as the installation of public lighting on the main roads of Kisangani, the capital of the Tshopo province. These initiatives contribute to improving the living environment of residents and promoting the urban and economic development of the region.
