The Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo confirms the disbursement of US$45 million for the Kinshasa Arena construction project, as part of its efforts to boost infrastructure investments. Fatshimetrie announces excellent news for the Kinshasa Arena construction project. Indeed, the central government has just confirmed the disbursement of 45 million US dollars as the second installment of the project, following the compliance of the Milvest company with the regulations in force.

It was the Minister of Finance, Doudou Fwamba, who officially communicated this information via a note published on Saturday, October 19, 2024. This amount is part of the 223.1 million USD allocated by the government for the relaunch of infrastructure projects, including investments in several provinces of the country as well as funds intended for the modernization of Kinshasa’s infrastructure.

The decision to disburse these funds demonstrates the government’s commitment to macroeconomic stabilization and the revival of investments. Indeed, since June 2024, considerable efforts have been made to ensure the country’s economic stability and encourage investments.

Construction work on the Kinshasa Arena, a major project with 20,000 seats, was launched by Turkish companies. However, the construction site had been temporarily interrupted due to a lack of funding. With this disbursement, the project will be able to resume its course and contribute to the development of the city’s sports and events infrastructure.

It is therefore undeniable that this new injection of funds demonstrates the government’s desire to support infrastructure projects and promote the country’s economic growth. The benefits of these investments will undoubtedly be felt at all levels, both locally and nationally, thus contributing to the dynamism and development of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
