Leadership Transition at Living Faith Church: Towards a New Era of Direction and Vision

Fatshimetrie, a media outlet renowned for its dynamic and informative content, is today covering a major event in the Living Faith Church. A significant change is taking place in the leadership structure of the church, marking the beginning of a new era of direction and vision.

Recent adjustments in the church’s operational manual, The Mandate, including the revision of the retirement age to 55, reflect a desire for renewal and transition within the renowned religious institution.

Bishops Abioye and Aremu, who have been in office for over 40 years and over 30 years respectively, are set to step down this month. At the age of 63 and 67, they are thus complying with the new age policy that will henceforth govern all leaders of the church, with the exception of the founder himself, Bishop Oyedepo, who has been authorized to serve indefinitely.

This strategic decision underscores the church’s commitment to structured leadership transition, ensuring continued growth of the ministry under new directions.

Going forward, the incoming leaders will be eligible for one or two seven-year terms, subject to the approval of the church’s governing board. This periodic rotation of leaders promises renewed governance and a dynamic vision to serve the community.

The farewell ceremonies for the two bishops emeritus have been carefully planned: Bishop Aremu’s ceremony will be held at LFC Basorun in Ibadan, Oyo State on Tuesday, October 15, while Bishop Abioye’s farewell will take place at Living Faith Church, Durumi, Abuja on Friday, October 18.

These milestones symbolise the beginning of a new era for Living Faith Church, one steeped in renewal, continuity and diversity of leadership. A new chapter is opening, bringing promise and developments, for this religious institution so dear to its faithful.
