64th Independence Anniversary in Owerri: Celebration of Progress and Call for Unity

Fatshimetrie recently celebrated the 64th Independence Day in Owerri, Nigeria. Governor Uzodinma highlighted the country’s progress, attributed to the collective effort, innovative and resilient spirit of its citizens, policy makers and stakeholders.

Some of the key advancements mentioned include economic growth, infrastructure development, technological advancement and innovation, healthcare, education, military development and sports.

Despite the challenges faced, Governor Uzodinma highlighted the significant progress made so far, while acknowledging that there are still challenges to overcome. He expressed gratitude to God for the progress and called for unity and determination to continue building a strong and prosperous nation.

He highlighted the achievements of Imo State, highlighting the progress made in infrastructure, education and economic development, as well as the importance of technical institutions producing internationally competitive graduates.

Despite these successes, Governor Uzodinma acknowledged that challenges remained. He reaffirmed his commitment to transparent and accountable government, stressing the importance of improving security, economic growth and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.

He appealed to the people to support efforts aimed at deepening democracy and accelerating development, stressing the importance of active participation and emulating the patriotism of the country’s founding fathers.
