**Intervention by the Provincial Minister of the Interior of Kasai-Central to regulate the movements of traditional chiefs**

The recent circular issued by the Provincial Minister of the Interior of Kasai-Central, Alain Lukusa Mpoyi, prohibiting any movement of traditional chiefs outside their entities without prior authorization, raises debates and provokes various reactions within the province.

This decision, dated September 19, aims to restrict the mobility of traditional authorities who, according to the Minister, tend to be absent from their groups or villages, thus causing unnecessary tensions and conflicts. Indeed, observation shows that the prolonged absence of these traditional chiefs in their respective territories often contributes to the aggravation of conflicts and internal quarrels.

Minister Alain Lukusa Mpoyi justifies this measure by emphasizing the importance of preserving peace and social cohesion within local communities. By now making any movement of traditional chiefs subject to prior authorization from the sector chief, it intends to ensure more effective control over the activities and responsibilities of traditional authorities in their territories.

Although this decision may seem restrictive to some traditional chiefs, it demonstrates a political will to strengthen local governance and prevent potential conflicts. Centralizing the power of movement of traditional authorities could also promote better coordination of actions and contribute to more effective management of community affairs.

Ultimately, this is a preventive and proactive measure aimed at stabilizing relations within the traditional entities of Kasai-Central. However, its implementation must be accompanied by constructive dialogue with the traditional chiefs concerned in order to ensure their cooperation and understanding of the issues underlying this regulation of movement.
