The storyline of this film highlights the unique experiences of modern African women, through the journey of a 29-year-old woman eager to find love. In a desperate quest, she turns to the mysterious powers of “kayanmata” – a love potion from a wealthy salesman.
Actors Uzor Arukwe and Lilian Esoro play the lead roles, portraying characters who face the challenges of modern love, the complexities of relationships and the dynamics of wedding traditions in Nigeria.
According to the official description, “My Fairytale Wedding” offers “love, laughter and a touch of magic,” while offering “a refreshing reinterpretation of classic fairy tales, infused with African heart and soul, and set in the vibrant setting of Lagos, Nigeria.”
