Fatshimetrie, September 16, 2024 – The Higher Institute of Health Sciences of the Red Cross (ISSS-CR) recently celebrated the success of 383 new graduates at a graduation ceremony in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. This promotion marks an important milestone in the professional lives of these students, who are now ready to contribute to the health sector.
The event was an opportunity for the ISSS-CR to highlight the fruitful collaboration with several renowned academic institutions such as the University of Kinshasa, the University of Kisangani, the National Pedagogical University, the Higher Institute of Medical Techniques and the University of Information and Communication Sciences. This union of expertise made it possible to offer students quality training, thus optimally preparing them for their future careers.
In his speech, the Academic Secretary General, Richard Risasi, stressed the importance of the graduates becoming ambassadors of the ISSS-CR, representing the institution with dignity and putting into practice the core values of the Red Cross movement. He also encouraged the graduates to continue their commitment by enrolling in continuing education programs to constantly improve their skills.
For his part, the Director General of the ISSS-CR, Odon Nswele Ilundu, stressed the importance of the new graduates’ commitment to the seven fundamental principles of the Red Cross movement. These principles, including humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntarism, unity and universality, will guide the graduates throughout their professional careers and help them promote the humanitarian values of the organization.
Meanwhile, the Higher Institute of Management of Kinshasa (ISG-Kin) also celebrated the success of more than 500 graduates during a graduation ceremony. Zebedée Diampasi Samba, Academic Secretary General, and Edgar Balengana Vubu, Director General of ISG-KIN, highlighted the importance of the institution’s contribution to reducing unemployment in the DRC by training quality engineers ready to meet the challenges of the job market.
Established in 2007, ISG offers diversified programs in fields such as Nursing, Marketing and Business Management, and strives to provide quality education to its students through its eight branches across the DRC. This graduation ceremony marks the beginning of a new chapter for these young professionals, who are expected to contribute significantly to the socio-economic development of the country.
Ultimately, these events demonstrate the commitment of academic institutions in the DRC to train a new generation of qualified and competent professionals, ready to meet the needs of society and contribute positively to its evolution.
