In the province of Bosobolo, the inhabitants of the Bodeme-Pandé and Bokenge groups are going through a period of deep distress, suggesting an unprecedented humanitarian crisis. Since last August and without any assistance, these communities have found themselves in a situation of extreme precariousness, with entire families forced to spend their nights under the stars or seek refuge with relatives.
Deputy Charles Donza, provincial representative of Bosobolo, is launching an appeal for help for these populations in distress, victims of a devastating conflict that broke out between Bodeme-Pandé and Bokenge. This dispute, linked to a land dispute, has caused unprecedented violence, resulting in the burning of 110 homes in the two communities.
The disastrous living conditions faced by the inhabitants of Bodeme-Pandé and Bokenge require urgent intervention. The lack of adequate reception facilities, food and means of subsistence leaves these families in deep disarray, among the rubble of their destroyed homes.
Beyond the material aspect, it is also the human dimension that is affected by this crisis. Psychological trauma, constant fear and the instability of daily life plunge these populations into a state of extreme vulnerability, requiring immediate care.
Faced with this tragedy that has hit the inhabitants of Bodeme-Pandé and Bokenge hard, it is urgent that concrete actions be put in place to help them. A collective mobilization, including local authorities, NGOs and the solidarity of civil society, is essential to provide emergency humanitarian assistance and allow these devastated communities to rebuild and regain hope for the future.
