The Raymond Estate and Sterling Heights area of Lagos, Nigeria recently witnessed a historic inauguration. The collaboration between the city council and the private sector, with Ostia Homes and Sterling Bank, resulted in the delivery of modern apartments that have transformed the once crime-ridden areas.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Governor Sanwo-Olu warmly commended Dele Oshinowo, the council chairman, for transforming a liability into a valuable asset for the community. Senator Tokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East, commended the governor’s commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at providing affordable housing to residents of working class areas, stressing the importance of involving the private sector in the realization of such projects.
The National Youth Leader of the APC Party, Dayo Israel, stressed the critical importance of housing in improving the lives of citizens, commending the efficiency of the Dele Oshinowo Local Government in implementing such initiatives.
Representatives of Ostia Homes and Sterling Bank both expressed pride in contributing to the realization of such ambitious projects through their fruitful collaboration with the city council. He also announced the establishment of a digital property registry to facilitate access to information on housing projects in the municipality.
