Thursday, June 13, was marked by an event of capital importance for the Republic of Congo: the handover and resumption within the Ministry of the Interior, Security, Decentralization and Customary Affairs. Jacquemain Shabani officially took office as Deputy Prime Minister, succeeding Peter Kazadi Kankonde.

For his part, Peter Kazadi Kankonde, the former incumbent, emphasized the projects carried out under his leadership and the remaining challenges to be met in the area of security and decentralization. He assured his successor of his availability to provide support and advice, in order to ensure a smooth transition and continuity in the management of state affairs.
