Preventable tragedy: Employee electrocuted to death at Lagos business

Fatshimetrie recently learned of a tragic event that took place at a company located in Lagos. According to the command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the incident was reported to the Aswani Police Division. This happened on a Tuesday around 5:06 p.m., when the company manager alerted the authorities.

According to the report received, the fatal accident occurred when one of the company’s temporary employees was electrocuted while filling an industrial cooler with water. The victim was quickly transported to a private clinic in Isolo, then transferred to Isolo General Hospital.

Unfortunately, despite the efforts made, medical staff were unable to save the life of the young man, who was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. No physical injuries were visible on the deceased’s body, raising questions about the exact circumstances of his death.

The victim’s body was then transported to the morgue for an autopsy to determine the precise causes of his death. This terrible tragedy highlights the importance of following rigorous safety measures at workplaces to avoid such accidents.
