In a decision rendered on March 12, 2024, the Constitutional Court of the Democratic Republic of Congo announced the verdict in disputes relating to the results of the national legislative elections of December 20, 2023. This decision led to significant upheaval, with approximately 49 deputies losing their seats. seat.
Among the notable changes, in the electoral constituency of Kikwit town in Kwilu, Ida Kidima Nzumba, former quaestor of the Senate, was replaced by Symphorien Mungala Mputu. The Constitutional Court, chaired by Dieudonné Kamuleteta, processed a total of 1,123 requests. Among these, 49 disputes were examined, 525 were deemed inadmissible, 400 were considered admissible but unfounded, and 21 cases were withdrawn.
