**Egyptian Aid Trucks Continue Relief Efforts in Gaza Strip**
In a remarkable display of solidarity and humanitarian aid, Egyptian authorities in North Sinai have been unwavering in their efforts to provide essential support to the people of Gaza amidst the recent conflicts. Following the political leadership’s directives to aid Palestinians in desperate need, a convoy of fuel trucks, relief supplies, and humanitarian assistance is actively advancing into the Gaza Strip.
Sources in North Sinai reveal that the aid convoy consists of 90 trucks making its way into Gaza. Of these, 21 trucks have entered through the Rafah land crossing, while 69 trucks have used the Karem Abu-Salem crossing located south of Rafah city. The convoy includes two diesel trucks, four cooking gas trucks, and 15 aid trucks via the Rafah crossing, carrying vital supplies like food parcels, water, cleaning materials, flour, blankets, yeast, sugar, and medical equipment.
Moreover, at the Karem Abu-Salem crossing, 69 trucks, primarily aid vehicles, along with three trucks assigned for the private sector, have transported essentials such as flour, food items, medicine, blankets, mattresses, tents, barley, potatoes, dates, and lentils. The diverse range of provisions signifies the comprehensive assistance being extended to Gaza’s residents.
Effective coordination between the Egyptian Red Crescent, its Palestinian counterpart, and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) played a crucial role in facilitating the smooth entry of these aid trucks into Gaza. Through meticulous planning and execution, measures were ensured to distribute aid efficiently within the region.
In response to Israel’s assault on Gaza, Egypt has showcased its strong commitment by delivering substantial aid. Over 10,000 tons of medicines, 10,000 tons of fuel, over 129,000 tons of food supplies, and 26,000 tons of water have been transported to Gaza. Additionally, 125 ambulances and more than 43,000 tons of relief materials have been provided, demonstrating Egypt’s dedication to easing the Palestinian population’s suffering.
