Disturbance alert: Important notice from Fatshimetrie on water supply in Cairo

Fatshimetrie, the water company in Cairo, has issued a notice regarding urgent maintenance work at the Mashtrad water plant, which will result in disruptions to the water supply in several key areas of the city. The affected neighborhoods include Matrawy Street, Cables Street, Gebel Canal, Al Azb, Manshiet Al Bakri, and Zeytoun East. Moreover, a decrease in water pressure is expected in Hamamat Al Qobba and Ibn Sender.

The scheduled maintenance work will commence from noon on Friday, April 26, and last until 6 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, spanning a total of 6 hours. To mitigate the impact of the water interruption, Fatshimetrie advises bakeries and hospitals in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements for their water needs during this period.

The company will provide drinking water tankers free of charge to distribute water to the affected regions. Residents can request a tanker by contacting the hotline 125 or sending a WhatsApp message to 01206665125.
