The rehabilitation of audiences at UNIKIN: A step towards academic excellence

Fatshimetrie, the pioneering online media based in Kinshasa, has brought forth significant news from the University of Kinshasa (UNIKIN). The university’s management committee has recently handed over two revamped auditoriums to the dean of the Faculty of Law, marking a notable milestone in enhancing infrastructure for the students.

Formerly functioning as restaurants, these spaces have been repurposed to accommodate students from the first LMD A, B, C, D promotion. Renamed after distinguished personalities of the faculty, “Jean-Louis Esambo” and “Etienne Tshisekedi wa Mulumba,” these refurbished areas aim to provide students with an ideal learning environment.

Professor Jean-Louis Esambo, who also serves as the special advisor to the President of the Republic on security, emphasized the importance of maintaining these new facilities. He urged students to uphold cleanliness standards and utilize the spaces effectively to facilitate smooth lesson delivery.

The students, as expressed by Kapam Kanimesha Verneau, the class leader in L2 economic and social law, have shown great enthusiasm towards these modernized infrastructures. Their appreciation demonstrates the significance of having dedicated study spaces for academic growth and development.

Despite this positive development, it is crucial to acknowledge that the current capacity of university infrastructures falls short of meeting the students’ needs. With an enrollment estimate of over two thousand students for the first class, UNIKIN faces challenges in terms of accommodation.

Hence, it is imperative for the academic authorities to take necessary actions to address this issue. The continuous rise in student enrollment at UNIKIN necessitates careful planning for the expansion of existing infrastructure to cater to the growing student population.

In conclusion, the renovation of the Faculty of Law’s auditoriums at the University of Kinshasa marks a significant stride in enhancing study conditions for students. Nevertheless, sustain efforts are required to ensure an academic setting that fosters learning and the progress of future UNIKIN graduates.
