A recent tragic incident has rocked the peaceful community of Kanwa, as the headless body of six-year-old Saidu was discovered. The main suspect, 16-year-old Almajiri Abdullahi from Zamfara, was quickly identified by the local police.
Commissioner of Police, Usaini Gumel, reported that Abdullahi was found in possession of a bloody knife believed to have human blood. Shortly after this discovery, Saidu’s headless body was found in a nearby primary school.
Tensions rose when an enraged crowd attacked Abdullahi, who confessed to the crime before succumbing to his injuries at Kwankwaso Cottage Hospital. Before his death, he revealed that he had disposed of the victim’s head in a septic tank near the school.
The dreadful event has left the Kanwa community reeling, prompting authorities to promise a thorough investigation to serve justice and ensure the safety of residents, especially children.
The Kanwa residents mourn the loss of young Saidu and the disturbing circumstances surrounding his death, emphasizing the need for vigilance and community solidarity to prevent such tragedies in the future.
