At the official launch of this program, Governor Sanwo-Olu welcomed the initiative of the Dangote Foundation, stressing the importance of supporting the most deprived, an action all the more crucial in these times of global economic crisis.
Aliko Dangote himself stressed the need for this food aid given the high costs of food in Nigeria. He announced the distribution of 80,000 10 kg bags of rice in Lagos, part of a national approach to reach the 36 states of the country.
