President Félix Tshisekedi met with the Director General of the Agency for Steering, Coordination and Monitoring of Collaboration Agreements (APCSC), Freddy Yodi Shembo, to discuss the monitoring of the implementation of the fifth amendment to the contract Sino-Congolese. This amendment aims to restore balance and make the partnership between the Democratic Republic of Congo and China mutually beneficial.
During this meeting, the President underlined the importance of key road projects, notably the section of national road 1 from Mbuji-Mayi to Nguba, the bypass road around Kinshasa and the Kalamba Mbuji-Kananga axis. These priority projects aim to stimulate economic activity and improve the movement of people and goods throughout the Congolese territory.
President Tshisekedi’s instructions are crucial in guiding the joint efforts of the DRC and China in infrastructure development. The rapid implementation of these projects is expected to have a significant impact on the country’s economy and connectivity.
