“Egypt: Strengthening the Involvement of Ministries for Effective Implementation of the Results of the National Dialogue”

It is crucial to continue the efforts undertaken following the first phase of the national dialogue sessions in Egypt. Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced the formation of a joint coordination group to monitor the implementation of the recommendations and results of this first stage. The aim is to work closely with relevant ministries to ensure that these recommendations are effectively implemented.

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi attaches significant importance to national dialogue and continually issues directives to the government so that the results are quickly transformed into executable plans. The latter must contribute to achieving the objectives set in various sectors.

Concrete measures are being taken to implement the recommendations of the first phase. A group composed of the Technical Office of the Prime Minister and the Information and Decision Support Center was formed to monitor the implementation of these recommendations with the ministries concerned, after the development of an executive plan by the Cabinet , underlined Madbouli.

Under the directives of President Sisi, all relevant ministers and officials are tasked with actively participating in the general and specialized discussion sessions of the second phase. The goal is to produce concrete results helping decision-makers effectively address current economic challenges.

Madbouli also highlighted the ongoing economic challenges and the government’s efforts to address them. He stressed the importance of discussing key topics and visions during the second phase sessions. These discussions should lead to concrete results to help decision-makers address these issues effectively.

The meeting was an opportunity for the General Coordinator of the National Dialogue Diaa Rashwan, the rapporteur of the Economic Axis Ahmed Galal, and the Head of the Technical Secretariat of the National Dialogue Mahmoud Fawzi, to discuss the next steps to follow. The national dialogue in Egypt is an essential tool to foster fruitful cooperation between different stakeholders and ensure that the recommendations made can be implemented effectively.
