FCT Minister Malam Muhammad Bello has announced that the Ministry of Finance has released 50 per cent of the N100 billion supplementary budget for 2023 approved by the National Assembly. As part of his visit, the minister expressed his satisfaction with the quality of the projects in progress and ordered the permanent secretary to immediately pay the contractors in charge of these projects. Likewise, work on the Northern Expressway N-20 and the vice-president’s residence, carried out respectively by Gilmore Construction firm and Julius Berger, is well underway.

Representatives of construction companies reported on the progress made and stressed the importance of continued collaboration to ensure deadlines are met. Officials of CGC Nigeria Ltd assured that all efforts were being made to complete the Outer Southern route within the stipulated time. For his part, Julius Berger reported the significant progress in the cleaning work and the infrastructure created.
