Title: The State Prize for Young Creators in Egypt: recognition for emerging talents
Introduction :
Egypt, a country rich in history and culture, attaches particular importance to the promotion of young talents. With this in mind, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi promulgated Law No. 183 of 2023, amending certain provisions of Law No. 204 of 2020 on the State Prize for Young Creators in Egypt. Conditions of eligibility :
According to the amendments to the law, candidates for the State Prize for Young Creators must be Egyptian nationals and have a good reputation. In addition, they must not be over the age of 18 on the date the competition is announced. Composition of the prize committee:
The law provides for the formation of a higher committee for the State Prize, placed under the authority of the Minister of Culture. This committee will be composed of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, the Supreme Council of Culture, the Cairo Opera, the National Center for Child Culture, as well as an advisor from the Council of ‘State. In addition, three influential figures in the field of children’s culture will also be members of this committee. The secretary general of the committee will be appointed by the Minister of Culture.

This Prize aims to encourage young creators by offering them increased visibility and official recognition of their talents.
